Liberty boats were built in Liberty, ME by Burley Turner.
That is where his protégé, Ken Priest of Kenway Boats learned the trade of building strip plank boats.
After Ken Priest returned from WW II, Burley Turner helped him establish Kenway Boats & then Burley Turner retired from boat building.
